Born on the Isle of Man, Jason began to play the cornet at the age of six. He was awarded a place at Chetham's School of Music in Manchester aged 10, where he learnt with Gareth Small and Murray Greig. He completed his studies with James Watson, Mark David, Paul Beniston and John Hutchins at the Royal Academy of Music.
Having already worked with orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic, Halle and BBC Symphony, Jason secured his current position at the Philharmonia Orchestra during the second year of his Bachelors degree. He enjoys a varied life as an orchestral musician and regularly plays Guest Principal with other ensembles - recent appearances include Swedish Radio Orchestra, Oslo Philharmonic, London Symphony Orchestra and Hong Kong Philharmonic.

He constantly evolves his teaching methods to tackle the stresses and challenges that arise when performing at any level.
Jason has performed as a soloist throughout his career, giving masterclasses and recitals for well over 10 years.
