Rene Henket

Rene Henket comes from a musical family and started playing the trumpet at the age of eight. His first trumpet teacher was Pierre Wilhelmus.
In 1987, he went to the conservatory in Maastricht where he studied the main subjects trumpet, schoolmusic and hafa conducting. With Guido Seegers, he graduated in 1993. He also graduated on schoolmusic in 1994 and in 1995 on hafa conducting with Jo Conjaerts. 
After his conservatory study in Maastricht, Rene continued his studies at the Musikhochschule in Köln with Heinz Meures, where he obtained both his "Instrumental Pedagogiek" and "Künstlerische Reifeprüfung".

Rene has been a trumpet player with André Rieu & the Johann Strauss Orchestra since 1988. Together with this orchestra, André became world famous and has played in many of the world's most famous concert halls. 
Rene collects teaching methods for trumpet and, due to his travels all of the world, this has become a large collection.
